Questo volume ha tre direzioni di discorso. Innanzitutto, un dialogo fra la semiotica e le altre discipline interessate agli studi animali: la filosofia, la filosofia del linguaggio e della mente, le scienze umane e sociali, le scienze cognitive e le neuroscienze.
